On March 17, 2026, an important milestone in the university startup ecosystem was marked by the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the VNU High-Tech and Innovation Park – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). This event is expected to open up new opportunities for technology transfer and the development of spin-off enterprises in Vietnam.
Under the agreement, VNU High-Tech Park and PTIT will jointly coordinate and implement a range of practical activities, including:
- Scientific Research & Technology Transfer: Promoting the commercialization of research products with high practical applicability.
- Incubation and Acceleration Programs: Developing structured support pathways for technology startup projects, from the ideation stage to market launch.
- Expert Network Connectivity: Leveraging shared resources to connect startups with investment funds, professional mentors, and strategic partners.
Through this collaborative model, startup teams will be given optimal conditions to access both the market and investment capital from the earliest stages. The combination of PTIT’s strengths in education and research with the infrastructure and innovation network of VNU High-Tech Park will help minimize risks for young startups.
Representatives of both institutions expect that this partnership will go beyond the number of enterprises established, contributing to the spread of a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education, while reinforcing the role of academic institutions in the digital economy.
